Ingredients
- 2 Quarts fresh organically grown blackberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 tbsp kirsch optional
Instructions

Puree the blackberries in the blender with 1/4 cup of water.

Strain the berries through a sieve. Set aside.

Bring 1 cup of water to boil and add the sugar. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from the heat. Allow to cool. Add the lemon juice.

Combine the pureed blackberries and the syrup. Pour into a stainless steel container. Cover and freeze until slushy.

Remove from the freezer. With an electric hand mixer, beat the sorbet until it is smooth. Cover and return to the freezer. Repeat this process one more time. Cover with plastic wrap so that there is no space between the sorbet and the wrap.
