Ingredients
  • ½ Quart of white vinegar
  • 1 ½ lbs crisp cooking apples diced
  • ½ lb mangos peeled and sliced preserved are okay
  • 8 oz brown sugar
  • 2 small red chilies minced
  • ½ pound Malaga raisins chopped
  • ½ lb preserved ginger minced
  • ½ lb preserved lemon peel minced
  • 1 clove garlic crushed
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp dried mustard
  • 1 tbsp ground ginger
Instructions
  1. Bring the vinegar to a boil and add the apples. Simmer for 4 – 5 minutes. Add all the remaining ingredients. Return to the heat and simmer for 8 more minutes. While still hot, pack the chutney into sterilized pint glass jars. Cover and allow to cool at room temperature.
